Our Challenge

Children’s Habilitation Center provides complex medical care to fragile infants and children while remaining conscientious when it comes to dollars and cents. For over 40 years, our highly trained professionals have remained innovative in order to keep CHC operating economically without sacrificing expertise or loving care. This has not occurred without challenges.

CHC is a unique facility that falls under a different category than the large hospital conglomerates. The combination of per-child reimbursement rates remaining unchanged for over 30 years, rising operating costs, and limited state funding requires us to be smart stewards of every operating dollar.

We care deeply about every child that comes through our doors, and we want to continue to serve as their bridge home. Our owners and members of the board have gone as far as providing support out of their own pockets to support this mission.
